Our primary objective is to do what we can to improve heart health, and reduce the incidence of heart disease and cancers. We have no intent to imitate the big national charities - our focus is more about what we can do locally.
We support efforts to fundraise for smaller, less-known charities. While we recognize the importance of the major charities such as the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society, we feel that there are a number of smaller, less-recognized entities who do great work supporting patients, research or education related to heart-health or cancer-related goals. Our challenge is to support these endeavors that do not consume donations in high overhead costs, so that a much higher percentage of gifts goes toward supporting patient support, research, and hopefully, cures in the near future.
